Job Description
We’re looking for a Social Media Channel Specialist to lead and grow Canon’s creator and influencer presence across Europe. In this role, you’ll build strong partnerships with creators, develop engaging social content, and help connect Canon with the next generation of creators through authentic, trend-driven campaigns that support both brand awareness and commercial results.
Responsibilities
Creator relationship management:
- Identify, nurture, and manage relationships with creators, influencers, and digital storytellers (B2C, B2P) who align with Canon’s brand values and audience.
- Oversee kit loans, gifting, and collaboration logistics.
- Align governance and messaging with Corporate Communications and Brand teams
Ownership of agency and tools:
- Manage the scope of work (SOW), performance, and budget of the selected influencer agency.
- Define business cases for bespoke tool requirements and lead implementation and usage across teams and NSO
Creator centric content:
- Commissioning UCG non branded content for Canon EMEA’s TikTok channel, maintaining a consistent and engaging content schedule in close collaboration with the social media channel specialist.
- Manage a central bank of influencer/ creator led assets which central and NSO teams can utilise for marketing purposes. Support local NSO teams to work with creators, and where relevant secure rights for usage of this content beyond local scope.
- Continuously optimize content based on platform trends, audience behaviour, and performance analytics.
- Collaborate with internal teams and creators to ensure content aligns with Canon’s brand tone, visual identity, and strategic objectives
Trending & Reactive Content:
- Monitor social trends and lead and coordinate the creation of reactive content to drive platform engagement.
- Establish agile processes with Corporate Communications and Brand to enable timely and relevant content production
Grow Canon’s authentic reach via creators’ channels - Embed Canon products within the creator community, growing our social mentions and brand preference amongst aspiring creators and younger audiences
Social Commerce:
- Drive sales through creator partnerships in close collaboration with the Affiliates team.
- Ensure transparent reporting and performance tracking to demonstrate ROI and business impact
Budget management - Ensure efficient use of budget across all projects, managing payments across all parties in a timely and accurate manner
Governance:
- Partner with Marketing Strategy, Product Marketing, Legal/IP, Digital, and Analytics teams to ensure content compliance, product alignment, and performance measurement.
- Support NSOs with scalable strategies and localized execution
Qualifications
Skills and knowledge required:
- 3–5 years of experience managing content creator/ influencer relationships for a brand or an agency.
- 1-2 years of experience creating and editing content
- Experience with paid social media advertising and usage rights negotiations
- 1-2 years of experience managing agency teams and campaign budgets
- Strong understanding of platform-specific best practices and algorithms
- Proficiency in tools such as Meta Business Suite, Hootsuite, Sprout Social, Canva, or Adobe Creative Suite
- Familiarity with Google Analytics, social media analytics, and campaign tracking tools
- Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines
- Understanding of SEO and content marketing principles
- Knowledge of influencer marketing and affiliate campaigns
Experience required:
- Experience developing and executing influencer/creator strategies across B2C and B2P audiences.
- Influencer & Creator Management; Proven track record in influencer marketing and creator partnerships.
- Content & Social Media Expertise: Strong understanding of social platforms, content formats, and audience engagement.
- Agency & Budget Management: Experience managing external agencies and handling budgets with clear ROI.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Ability to navigate complex stakeholder environments and drive integrated execution.
- Trend Responsiveness: Skilled in identifying and reacting to cultural and platform-specific trends
- Commercial Impact: Familiarity with affiliate marketing and performance-based influencer campaigns.

Salary: £38,000 - £44,000 per annum, plus 10% bonus (dependent on experience)
