Rotherwood Education are currently seeking an enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to join a well-established and forward-thinking secondary school in the Burnley area. This role is particularly well-suited for an individual who is highly organised, adaptable, and resilient, capable of swiftly adjusting to diverse situations.
As a Cover Supervisor, you'll step into classrooms in the absence of teaching staff, delivering pre-prepared lessons and maintaining high standards of behaviour and learning. You'll be a valued part of the school community, helping to ensure continuity and progress for students across Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Delivering set work to classes across KS3 & KS4.
- Managing classroom behaviour in line with the school's policy.
- Supporting students to stay on task and complete their work.
- Providing feedback to teaching staff on pupil progress and behaviour.
- Have experience working in a similar role or in a school environment.
- Demonstrate excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
- Be confident, flexible, and able to adapt to different subject areas.
- Show a genuine passion for education and pupil development.
- Be proactive, reliable, and committed to safeguarding and supporting young people.
- Proven track record or relevant school-based experience.
- A current, enhanced DBS on the update service, or be willing to apply for one.
- Relevant references to support your application.
- Willingness to attend a face-to-face registration and complete necessary vetting checks.
- Dedicated consultants with in-depth knowledge of local schools.
