Job Summary
The Global Lead, Education Artistry & Events is responsible for bringing K18’s professional education vision to life through world-class artistry showcases and education-led brand experiences around the globe. This role partners closely with K18’s global distributor network to concept, develop, and execute high-impact professional events that feature top regional hair artists, highlight cutting-edge hairdressing techniques, and demonstrate how to integrate K18 into salon services for business growth.
This role owns the creative and production direction for all global education events—ensuring a cohesive aesthetic, elevated artistry, and consistent brand expression across markets. They oversee event strategy, artist selection, technical education integration, venue and production planning, and on-site execution. The role requires strong expertise in live event production, beauty industry artistry, project management, and cross-functional collaboration.
The ideal candidate is deeply connected to professional hair education and culture, highly organized, aesthetically driven, and excels at creating experiences that inspire stylists, salon owners, influencers, press, and industry partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and lead the global strategy for K18’s education-driven artistry events, ensuring alignment with brand standards, education goals, and market needs.
- Partner with distributors worldwide to source opportunities, plan annual event calendars, manage co-operative event budget, and build scalable event frameworks adaptable across regions.
- Oversee end-to-end production—including venue sourcing, run-of-show development, staging, technical requirements, demonstrations, models, and backstage flow.
- Identify, evaluate, and partner with top local and global hair artists who represent the highest level of craft and align with K18’s brand DNA.
- Direct creative concepts for stage presentations, live demonstrations, model looks, technical sequences, and visual storytelling.
- Ensure consistency of aesthetic, artistry, tone, and brand expression across all global events.
Education Integration
- Collaborate with the Global Education team to weave core K18 product education, workshops, and business-building curriculum seamlessly into each event.
- Develop clear formats for education delivery—demonstrations, look & learns, hands-on segments, or hybrid formats—tailored to each regional market.
- Ensure all artistry and technical education accurately reflects K18’s scientific positioning, product claims, and professional best practices.
Distributor & Cross-Functional Partnership
- Act as the primary liaison for distributors regarding event planning, budget alignment, timelines, and creative direction.
- Partner cross-functionally with Marketing, Brand, PR, Creative, Product, and Education teams to ensure cohesive messaging and integrated visibility across channels.
- Manage relationships with production vendors, agencies, artists, and creative partners.
- Lead all event logistics including run-throughs, rehearsals, artist coordination, technical setup, model prep, and backstage management.
- Maintain high standards of quality, aesthetic coherence, and technical excellence at every event—regardless of region, venue size, or format.
- Troubleshoot day-of challenges and ensure flawless event execution.
Measurement & Continuous Improvement
- Develop KPIs for event success such as attendance quality, educational impact, distributor feedback, artist performance, and brand visibility.
- Gather attendee, artist, and distributor feedback to refine event frameworks and continuously elevate output.
- Track trends in global hair artistry, event experience, and professional education to ensure K18 remains a category innovator.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Marketing, Creative Production, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Licensed Hairstylist required.
- 5+ years of experience in professional beauty, education events, creative production, or artistry-led programming supporting multiple countries in different regions (Europe and Middle East preferred).
- Deep understanding of professional hairdressing techniques, artist communities, and salon culture.
- Proven experience conceptualizing and executing live events, shows, workshops, or creative productions.
- Strong aesthetic sensibility with a refined eye for artistry, staging, and brand expression.
- Excellent project management, communication, and vendor negotiation skills.
- Ability to travel globally up to 40–50% as events require.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with professional distribution or in B2B professional beauty.
- Existing network of professional hair artists, educators, or beauty production teams.
- Background in creative direction, stage production, or backstage coordination.
- Strong understanding of product-based education and brand storytelling.
