An exciting opportunity has arisen for a recent graduate to join a Stockport secondary school as a Behaviour and Learning Mentor. This role involves supporting pupils who struggle to manage classroom routines and engagement with learning, particularly those with SEMH or low attendance.
You’ll work across key stages to implement individual behaviour plans, support students one-to-one or in small groups, and work alongside the SEN and pastoral teams to help pupils regulate emotions and improve focus.
You will:
Build strong, trust-based relationships with pupils
Support behaviour strategies and restorative approaches
Assist with lesson access and emotional regulation
Be part of the school’s inclusion provision
Ideal for a psychology, criminology, or social sciences graduate looking to gain experience before teacher training, educational psychology, or youth justice roles.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
