As a Senior Application Architect in Application Automation, you'll leverage your extensive technical expertise and leadership skills to drive innovation and excellence within our organization. Join our team and contribute to the development of innovative application automation solutions that drive business success. If you're passionate about understanding and solving complex automation challenges and have a knack for creating application automation solutions that maximize ROI, we'd love to hear from you.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the design, development, and implementation of complex automation solutions
  • Mentor and guide junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define system architecture and ensure seamless integration of automation solutions
  • Stay current with emerging automation trends, tools, and best practices
  • Contribute to the development of automation strategies and roadmaps
  • Own the solution architecture for the platform and new data visualisation components, embedding scalability, security and performance. Align with DSA architectural governance, define project standards, conduct architectural reviews and document clear design decisions.
  • Lead the technical team across Architecture, DevOps, Data and Development disciplines to ensure strategic alignment and technical delivery. Act as an escalation point for technical blockers, disseminate leadership communications and foster their development through guidance and mentoring.
  • Collaborate closely with Delivery Leads, Business Analysts and Product Leads to advise on technical complexity, refine requirements based on feasibility and delivery timelines and support stakeholder engagement.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
  • Extensive knowledge of automation tools and technologies (UiPath, Blue Prism, Automation Anywhere, AI/GenAI, Workflows)
  • Expertise in assets (Digital Workers, IT/AI Operations, Agent Assistant) and APIs for Watsonx/other hyperscalers
  • Masterful proficiency in IDCP (IBM Delivery Central Platform) and IBM Consulting Advantage platform consisting of Methodx, assets and assistants
  • Strong understanding of scalability, security and performance considerations
  • Proven track record of delivering high‑quality automation solutions in a professional setting
  • Exceptional communication, leadership and problem‑solving skills
Preferred Technical and Professional Experience
  • Knowledge of containerisation and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Familiarity with microservices architecture and design patterns
  • Understanding of continuous integration and delivery practices
