About the Role

A Shared Lives Officer supports the Registered Manager within a CQC regulated setting to ensure high quality provision of services to older people, working age people with a learning disability, young people from 16 years of age and people with physical and mental health needs. The role is consistent with individual needs in accordance with statute and Government Guidance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Effectively manage a caseload of shared lives arrangements, supporting people with complex needs.
  • Provide clear supervision, direction, guidance and support to a team of allocated Shared Lives Providers.
  • Work flexibly, including outside normal working hours to support event evenings and respond to emergencies, ensuring an excellent service for the people we support is offered.
  • Travel for work purposes as required.
  • Safard and promote the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults, sharing this commitment with all staff.
Qualifications and Experience
  • A team player with excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Experience working in adult social care or a related field.
  • A commitment to person-centred approaches and inclusive practice.
  • Enthusiasm and a positive attitude – we value kindness and collaboration.
  • Good verbal and non‑verbals communication skills.
  • Ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds.
  • Ability to work on own initiative using own judgement.
  • A sound knowledge and understanding of confidentiality and data protection.
  • Previous experience of caseload management and being disability confident.
Additional Information
