Maida Vale Primary School is seeking a highly motivated, collaborative and organised school psychologist with a passion for supporting the whole child to achieve their potential. The role requires a friendly disposition, strong communication skills and a commitment to forming positive working relationships with staff, students and parents.

As school psychologist, you will support staff in implementing effective strategies and plans that promote mental health, wellbeing, learning and motivation of students. You will provide guidance on behaviour support, risk management, emergency and critical incident management, and professional learning for staff and parents. Knowledge and experience in identifying, planning and supporting staff to address both the individual needs of students at educational risk and students with challenging behaviour is required.

• Demonstrated ability to implement school psychology services and programmes in an educational environment to maximise student learning outcomes.
• Demonstrated knowledge of the implementation and evaluation of a variety of psychological approaches appropriate for individual, group and system‑level intervention.
• Demonstrated high level written and oral communication skills, demonstrating the capacity to produce correspondence, reports and case notes, and interview and training (facilitation) skills.
• Demonstrated highly developed interpersonal skills, which demonstrate an ability to function in a self‑directed way, and as a member of an interdisciplinary team, working with a range of clients across the lifespan, Department personnel and inter‑agency partners across a variety of contexts.
• Demonstrated ability to apply analytical and conceptual skills to issues identification, risk assessment and analysis, intervention and evaluation.
