Site Team Leader
Job summary
A leading staffing agency is urgently seeking a hands-on, reliable Site Team Leader to oversee cleaning operations in Birmingham. You will manage a team of 34 staff and coordinate additional cleaners as needed. The role requires supervising staff, meeting high cleanliness standards, and conducting early morning site visits. A full UK driving licence is required, as well as the ability to work independently. This role offers competitive pay at £17.80 per hour.
Qualifications
- Must be eligible to claim mileage for work-related travel.
- No DBS required.
- Willingness to assist with cleaning cover when necessary.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and support cleaning staff across multiple sites.
- Ensure cleaning standards meet health and safety regulations.
- Conduct site visits and audits.
- Coordinate rotas, cover shifts, and manage absences.
- Liaise with site managers and respond to operational needs.
- Assist with recruitment and onboarding of new cleaners.
- Provide hands-on cleaning support when required.
Skills
Location: Birmingham (North, Small Heath, Sheldon, Sparkbrook, Warmley, Edgbaston)
Hours: 36.5 hours/week, Monday–Friday typically starting between 6am–7am
Pay: £17.80/hour (Basic)
We’re urgently seeking a hands‑on, reliable Site Team Leader to oversee cleaning operations across a range of public service sites including day centres, libraries, community centres, and refuge depots. You’ll be responsible for managing a team of 34 staff, plus coordinating an additional 20–30 cleaners as new sites come online.
This is a field-based role requiring early starts and lone working across multiple Birmingham patches. You’ll play a key role in maintaining high standards of cleanliness, supporting staff, and stepping in to cover cleaning duties when needed.
- Full UK driving licence with business insurance cover
