A regional health service provider in Wales is seeking a qualified professional to ensure high standards of patient care in endoscopy procedures. The role includes managing a patient caseload, supporting junior staff, and adhering to health regulations while working in a fast-paced environment. Candidates should have relevant qualifications and are encouraged to apply if they have endoscopy experience.
The main purpose of the job is to ensure the provision of the highest standard of direct patient care for patients undergoing a range of endoscopic procedures. The post holder will be required to assist the Endoscopist and support patients, with emphasis on patient safety and dignity during all aspects of endoscopy procedures.
The post holder will ensure effective communication and education in health promotion which reflects the quality standards and mission of the University Health Board. In the absence of the Unit Sister/Deputy Sister the post holder may have responsibility for the operational management of the endoscopy unit.
The post holder will be responsible for ensuring that all policies and procedures are observed and meet the organisations requirements in accordance with agreed protocols.
As part of the South East Regional Endoscopy plan, the post holder may be expected to work across site (Royal Glamorgan Hospital/Princess of Wales Hospital) or Cross Boundary work in the neighbouring Powys Health board.
Working week is over 7 days and the post holder will be expected to be allocated on weekend shifts – and appropriate days off will be allocated during the week – Rotational basis.
