Job summary

A regional healthcare trust is looking for a Patient Safety Partner Volunteer. This role involves supporting patient safety governance, monitoring compliance, and engaging in design for safer healthcare. Patient Safety Partner Volunteer

The closing date is 03 December 2025

Be part of the patient safety governance in the Trust - e.g. support compliance monitoring and how safety issues should be addressed and providing appropriate challenge to ensure learning and change - and in the development and implementation of relevant strategy and policy.

Be actively involved in the design of safer healthcare at all levels in the organisation.

Act as an advocate for patient safety.

Support the Trusts patient safety governance processes.

  • Support learning lessons and ensure they are implemented and evaluated.
Main duties of the job

General Responsibilities

Communicate well in writing and read comprehensive reports.

Confidence and ability to communicate in a wide range of matters.

Ability to understand a range of information and evidence.

Support clinical audits relating to patient safety as necessary.

Display sound judgement and the ability to be objective.

To attend PSP support meetings and training events.

Support and guide new PSPs where required.

Take part in PSP networks to receive peer support and share learning.

Report any safety incidents to staff.

Ensure that patient confidentiality is always maintained.

Adhere to the principles of the PSP agreement.

Inform relevant person if unable to attend meetings or undertake another identified task.
