Job Responsibilities
- End-to-End Supply Chain Management: Oversee procurement, inventory control, and demand planning.
- Optimize Logistics Operations: Manage warehouse, transport, and distribution activities.
- Build Supplier & Vendor Relationships: Maintain strong relationships to enhance performance and reduce costs.
- Inventory & Stock Control: Ensure accurate stock levels and forecast effectively.
- Customer Order Fulfilment: Oversee sales order processing and ensure timely deliveries.
- Data-Driven Performance Management: Monitor KPIs to drive continuous improvement.
- Warehouse & Facility Oversight: Manage operations, layout, and safety compliance.
- Process Improvement & Cost Reduction: Streamline processes and negotiate better terms.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with production, sales, and finance teams.
- Regulatory Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure health & safety and environmental compliance.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will have:
- Proven experience in warehouse management.
- Proficiency in warehouse software and MS Office.
- Knowledge of modern warehousing practices.
- Excellent leadership skills managing around 30 employees.
- Strong decision-making and a hands-on approach.
- Understanding of health and safety regulations.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to work under pressure.
- Ability to commute daily to Yeovil, 5 days a week.
What We Offer
- A competitive salary between £60,000 and £65,000 per annum.
- 20 days holiday plus bank holidays.
