We’re looking for Recruitment and Screening Coordinators to join our team. Do you have excellent communication skills, a desire to work in a clinical environment, and enthusiasm to learn? We offer full training.
Key Accountabilities:
- Recruitment and Screening coordinator is a business-critical role contributing to the recruitment and enrollment of volunteers and patients for clinical research at the London Early Phase Clinical Unit (EPCU).
- Provide administrative support for the screening team, including preparing study documentation for each session.
- Maintain a secure, confidential database to protect trial subjects' rights and privacy, ensuring compliance with data protection laws.
- Responsible for subject verification and keeping database records current, including TOPS entries and medical data.
- Send GP reports, follow up on outstanding reports, and ensure all data needed for eligibility checks are collected.
- Coordinate with internal teams (e.g., laboratory) to ensure results are available for eligibility assessments.
- Arrange appointments for repeat testing as directed by physicians or management.
- Ensure the recruitment targets are met by processing each screened participant according to protocol requirements.
- Prepare metrics and reports on recruitment and screening activities, and communicate with internal stakeholders.
- Maintain enrolment logs and tracking documents.
- Communicate with volunteers and patients to resolve queries and keep them updated during screening and admission processes.
- Liaise with the Line Manager to identify efficiencies and improvements in screening and recruitment processes.
- Foster a positive, results-oriented work environment, promote teamwork, and communicate openly with the team.
- Assist in conducting studies across therapeutic areas in accordance with ICH GCP, local regulations, and SOPs.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the line manager.
Knowledge, Skills & Education:
- Minimum of 5 GCSEs or equivalent; additional qualifications are advantageous.
- Experience in a clinical or scientific environment is beneficial.
- Excellent communication and professional customer service skills.
- Good time management, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure.
- Willingness to work in a matrix environment and value teamwork.
- Flexible attitude towards work assignments and learning opportunities.
- Other tasks as assigned by the line manager.
