The team and role
The UK Pricing team plays a crucial role in Hiscox UK by providing analytics and insights that influence underwriting decisions. It is part of a broader Portfolio Underwriting and Pricing function aimed at delivering market-leading risk selection and profitable growth. The team is divided into 'Technical' and 'Product Facing' analysts, with the latter focusing on monitoring, implementing, and maintaining pricing strategies in collaboration with senior stakeholders including Product Heads and the Chief Underwriting Officer.
This role is within the product-facing team, requiring stakeholder management skills and the ability to communicate technical information effectively. You will influence pricing for high net worth households, motor, SME, and specialty lines, supporting profitable growth.
This position does not require actuarial qualifications.
What you'll be doing
Person Specification:
Seeking a highly analytical, driven individual with excellent decision-making skills, capable of working under pressure and delivering solutions. The candidate should have at least 3 years of relevant experience, strong statistical and data analysis skills, stakeholder relationship abilities, and good communication skills. Knowledge of commercial or personal lines insurance is desirable.
