Aramark UK are currently recruiting a Chef Assistant to join our team working at Richmond Centre, Munster Barracks, Catterick Garrison, DL9 3PZ.

You will be working as part of a fantastic team, serving customers, and providing excellent customer service throughout. You will be required to perform basic food preparation and perform general cleaning tasks both back and front of house.

To be eligible for this role, due to the sector requirements: you must have been a UK resident for the past 3 years and have legal right to work in the UK and be able to pass full security vetting and DBS checks.

• This is a permanent full-time 35 hours per week position, working hours5 days out of 7 (including some weekends). Shifts range between 6:30am and 3:00pm leaving your evenings free - a rarity when you work within culinary.
• Hourly rate £12.21.

• Assisting Chefs with day-to-day cooking and prepping of food, such as sandwiches, grab and go items, basic hot food with the potential to train to get your NVQ Level 2 in culinary skills.
• Serving customers and operating the till, providing opportunities for upselling products, and ensuring you are always providing excellent customer service.
• Stocking up and putting away deliveries
• General cleaning back and front of house, making sure the unit is clean and tidy before, during and after service.

• Been resident in the UK for at least 3 years and can pass full security vetting and DBS checks.
• Strong communication and are an excellent team player.
• Flexibility and the ability to innovate.
• Previous catering experience is desirable, however full training will be given on site.
