We are seeking an experienced SEO professional to join Visualsoft as the Head of SEO. This role offers a hybrid working arrangement from one of our key locations. If you're passionate about driving organic growth and leading SEO strategies, we'd love to hear from you!

The Head of SEO will be responsible and accountable for the success and growth of Visualsoft SEO products and service. They will take full accountability for the development and execution of comprehensive client strategies across all SEO disciplines. This role involves leading and mentoring a diverse team of SEO professionals, including strategy, content, technical, and PR & outreach teams. The Head of SEO will collaborate closely with other marketing and technical departments, and ensure the successful implementation of SEO campaigns that drive traffic, enhance search rankings, and achieve our client’s organic objectives.

The Head Of SEO will take overall accountability of our SEO client portfolio. They will have a deep understanding of the SEO landscape and will be responsible for the development of our overall organic service, ensuring we stay at the forefront of evolving tech and strategy. Utilising the latest ‘best in class’ technology and leveraging partnerships to drive excellence will be key.

Training, mentoring and coaching is essential to enable a best-in-class product/service at every client touchpoint, providing exceptional expertise and customer service. The Head Of SEO will be the ultimate product expert within Visualsoft and main go-to for anything SEO related.

Key Responsibilities

Product Expertise

• Be the go-to within the agency for all things SEO
• Develop the service offering to maintain best-in-class standard
• Maintain expert knowledge at the forefront of SEO. Stay up to date with emerging tech and trends

Service & Delivery

• Constantly strive to improve and maintain processes and procedure documents
• Maintain and increase efficiency of the execution and implementation of SEO across the Visualsoft client portfolio
• Troubleshoot SEO-related client issues that are escalated to you
• Maintain highest standards of SEO implementation and execution
• Continuously strive to produce the highest results for Visualsoft clients via SEO
• Work collaboratively to create cross-departmental client strategies and processes with supporting documentation

Management

• Foster a collaborative and high-performance team environment, promoting continuous learning and professional development.
• Directly manage a team of 4 Senior ADs who are responsible for specific core SEO disciplines
• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of 20 SEO professionals, including strategists, content writers, PR & outreach specialists, and technical SEO experts.
• Conduct regular team meetings, performance reviews, and provide actionable feedback
• Identify and execute internal training raising SEO understanding company wide
• Responsible for commercial growth of the department
• Overall responsibility for SEO retention
• Identify and assist with SEO sales opportunities
• Prepare, maintain and update sales documentation and sales pitches
• Lead, speak and engage at external events and conferences
• Manage, maintain and grow partner relations

Requirements

This role requires someone with excellent communication skills and who is an absolute expert within the SEO industry with effective management skills.

The ability to lead and work alongside high-performing teams influencing others is essential, using technology and industry-leading practices.

• Extensive and proven experience at a senior level within a digital agency, specialising in SEO
• Extensive experience of SEO management
• Solid expertise in external SEO platforms and tools, analytics, forecasting and measurement
• Proven track record of developing and implementing successful SEO strategies that drive significant results.
• Management of a specialist team with the ability to lead, grow and adapt
• Deep understanding of SEO tools and platforms
• Client-facing experience at a senior level
• Client meeting experience and proven strategy presentation skills
• Experience in eCommerce
• Experience in other digital media channels
