Job summary
A well-established accountancy practice in Colchester is seeking an experienced Accountant with proven experience in the field. The role includes preparing accounts, handling client queries, and mentoring junior staff. The position offers a salary up to £45,000, study support, and hybrid working after six months. Ideal candidates will be AAT qualified or part-qualified in CIMA/ACCA.

Responsibilities
- Prepare statutory accounts for final review.
- Produce annual accounts for sole traders, landlords, and partnerships.
- Draft personal and corporate tax returns.
- Prepare and submit VAT returns to HMRC.
- Review the work of junior staff and support their training.
- Handle client queries and build lasting relationships.
- Liaise with HMRC on behalf of clients.
- Undertake various ad-hoc tasks as required.
