Qualifications

JOB TITLE Financial Planning & Analysis Accountant

Reporting to: Group Financial Controller

Working with: Sales, Growth and Strategic Planning teams, Group Management Accountant

Overview

What does this role contribute to the Company?

Due to the ongoing growth within the Bloc Group, we are looking for a passionate and commercially minded Financial Planning & Analysis Accountant to join our growing team and support our ambitious growth. This is an exciting time to join the group as we expand and develop our presence in international markets.

As Financial Planning & Analysis Accountant you will play a key role in budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling, and strategic planning to support the business.

This role is suitable to someone looking 25-30 hours per week.

Responsibilities
  • Understanding financial performance, driving and tracking actions to deliver our strategic priorities and key targets
  • Providing in-depth profitability analysis to identify opportunity, risk, and inform strategic decisions
  • Lead the budgeting and forecasting process across the business, liaising with key department s to deliver accurate annual and quarterly business plans
  • To work closely with Group sales functions to support scenario planning for business growth
  • Support on specific projects and engineering changes to understand and track financial impacts
  • Financial analysis for new opportunities with assessment of immediate and longer-term returns
  • Development of new reporting tools to understand business performance and compliment financial reporting
  • Financial and complimentary systems transformation to improve financial reporting
  • Partnering with Group Management Accountant to facilitate workload
  • Prepare detailed monthly reporting and commentary on performance targets across the company
What we are looking for

Essential

  • Minimum 5+ years’ experience of working in a finance function
  • Previous experience working in a similar or in a manufacturing organisation
  • Solid understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting processes
  • Strong analytical skills with experience of communicating findings to cross functional teams

Desirable

  • Previous experience of using Sage 200
  • CIMA/ACCA/ACA qualified
  • Previous experience of building and using power BI or similar analytical tools
