Assistant Accountant

Responsibilities

• Process purchase invoices, prepare payment runs, and raise customer invoices.
• Perform bank reconciliations and assist with balance sheet reconciliations.
• Support monthly payroll, management accounts, and internal financial reports.
• Assist with VAT returns and statutory filings.
• Provide analysis for budgeting/forecasting and support process improvements.
• Deliver general administrative and operational finance support.

About You

• Actively studying or keen to work towards a qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
• 1-2 years' accounting or finance experience.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles.
• Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, Sage) and advanced Excel skills.
• Detail-oriented, proactive, and a strong team player.
