Artemis Human Capital is excited to be working in partnership with this leading Lisburn based Group to hire an experienced Accounts Assistant to join their dynamic finance function during a period of exciting growth.

This role will be suited to an Accounts Assistant / Accounts technician keen to develop themselves in a commercial setting, reporting to a divisional FC. Opportunities for continued professional development including study support will be available to the successful candidate.

Typical duties
  • Ensure all new customer accounts are set up properly according to Company guidelines.
  • Conduct credit checks for new customers
  • Make calls to customers and liaise with field sales team to ensure all outstanding payments are made within the agreed credit terms.
  • Liaise with management and the sales team on all overdue payments to decide what actions need to be taken with a view to maintaining the customer relationship at all times.
  • Allocation of payments received & posting of cash payments.
  • Lodgement of cash payments to bank
  • Ensure that all bank reconciliations are completed
  • Ensure account statements are emailed to customers at the start of each month
  • Liaise with customers regarding invoice queries
  • Web submissions to be completed on a monthly basis.
  • Liaise with Purchasing Team to reconcile supplier statements & post supplier payments to be then authorised by the finance management team.
  • EDI reporting
  • Look after petty cash payments, placing stationary orders, filing, managing incoming post, Xerox meter readings.
  • Post supplier invoices and reconciliation of supplier statements.
The ideal candidate
  • Proven current work experience in an accounts department
  • Working experience of accounting software
  • Ability to gather and analyse data competently
  • Solid foundation in accounting principles and mathematics
  • Third level qualification in relevant area (desirable)
