Site Supervisor / Manager Permanent
Location: Infrastructure Projects, Highlands of Scotland
Our client, a well-established and respected civil engineering contractor, is seeking to strengthen their team with an experienced Site Supervisor / Manager on a permanent basis. This role will see you leading infrastructure projects across the Highlands of Scotland, taking responsibility for the safe, efficient, and high-quality delivery of works.
You will play a key role in the proactive coordination of site activities, maintaining excellent health and safety standards, and fostering a positive and productive team environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all on-site operations for civil engineering projects, from initial mobilisation through to final handover
- Coordinate and manage site personnel, subcontractors, plant, and materials
- Ensure all works are delivered to the highest quality, meeting technical specifications and industry standards
- Maintain and promote robust health and safety practices on site
- Liaise effectively with clients, engineers, and project managers to keep works on track and resolve issues promptly
- Keep accurate records, site reports, and daily diaries
- Monitor progress against the programme and provide regular updates to senior management
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Proven track record in a supervisory or site management role within the civil engineering sector, ideally with experience in earthworks, reinforced concrete, deep drainage, road construction, and utilities
- Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills
- HNC, HND, or Degree in Construction Management / Civil Engineering
- SMSTS or SSSTS certification
- NRSWA Supervisor accreditation and valid 3 Day First Aid certificate
- CSCS Gold or Black card (management level)
- Full UK driving licence
