Job summary
A recruitment agency for education professionals is seeking an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant in Poole, Dorset. This role involves supporting young adults with autism and other needs, following educational plans, and building strong relationships with students. The position demands a clear DBS and prior experience in similar roles. The role is ongoing, 5 days a week from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM.
Qualifications
- At least 6 months experience supporting students with autism and SEMH.
- Experience with students aged 16-25.
- Ability to follow students' ECHPs.
Responsibilities

Skills
SEN Teaching Assistant - College - Poole, Dorset. SENCare Recruitment are currently working on behalf of a college, that is seeking experienced teaching assistants to support young adults who have autism, mild and profound needs and SEMH. Start: ASAP. Duration: 5 days a week - ongoing. Hours: 8.30am - 4.30pm.
- will have at least 6 months experience supporting students with autism, social emotional mental health difficulties, some profound needs.
- experience supporting students aged 16-25
- able to follow students ECHPs
- experienced with ASD, PMLD, SEMH, trauma, sensory processing, and social communication teaching background
- the ability to build strong and meaningful relationships with vulnerable students
- have a clear DBS registered to the update service - child and adult checked.
