Overview

Location: Access Creative College Bristol

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Salary: £26-£28K per annum

The Outreach & Events Officer will be an integral part of ACC’s dedicated Outreach and Events Team, responsible for the successful management and execution of open days, recruitment events, exhibitions, and outreach activities. This role will focus on regional engagement and coordination for our Bristol campus, as well as supporting our other campuses and national initiatives when required.

You will be more than an organiser; you will be an ambassador, a storyteller, a catalyst for change. Working autonomously yet collaboratively, you will have the freedom to innovate, bring fresh ideas to life, and make a tangible impact on our community and beyond.

We are ‘Access Creative College’ (ACC), formerly known as Access to Music, and were founded in 1992. We’re an Ofsted ‘Good’ provider that reach every corner of the country, with 7 campuses and over 2,500 students nationwide. We are part of Access Education Group which boasts 32 campuses nationwide with over 5,000 students & apprentices across ACC, dBs Institute (Higher Education) & Access Sport

Duties & Responsibilities

Outreach and student recruitment

  • Develop and maintain relationships with regional schools, colleges, community groups, and charities.
  • Organise, plan, and deliver tailored outreach events within your centre and local FE Colleges, schools and community groups.
  • Represent ACC at key career and education fairs, both regionally and nationally.
  • Deliver presentations, workshops, and hands-on activities to engage potential students.
  • Develop and support outreach programs for underrepresented groups.
  • Work with subject area specialists to identify and develop new activities to best showcase our offer.
  • Collaborate with local organisations and industry partners to enhance outreach efforts, alongside our Business Development Managers.
  • Support all aspects of the applicant journey, from initial lead generation through to enrolment.

Open Days and Events Management

  • Plan, coordinate and deliver Open Days, Taster Days and other student recruitment events at your campus as well as supporting other events as and when required.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure an exceptional on-the-day experience.
  • Partner with the marketing team to develop compelling promotional materials for each event, increasing sign-ups and attendance.
  • Evaluate event success and provide feedback for continuous improvement.

Student Ambassador Initiative

  • Lead an annual campaign to recruit student ambassadors from all years of our college courses, ensuring a diverse representation.
  • Oversee student ambassador onboarding, training and reimbursement for hours they’ve worked
  • Equip ambassadors with the necessary skills and knowledge to effectively represent ACC and engage with prospective students.
  • Oversee the ambassadors' schedules, ensuring they are available for key events and outreach activities.
  • Oversee the administration of Student ambassadors at your designated centre.

Marketing & Content Support

  • Manage your designated centre’s social media platforms increasing followers and engagement.
  • Collaborate with the central marketing team in the design and implementation of recruitment campaigns that bolster lead generation activities.
  • Work closely with the central marketing team to support and enhance both local and national promotional strategies.
  • Support the gathering of stories, achievements, and highlights from the campus, turning them into compelling content pieces.
  • Contribute to our social media platforms, ensuring consistent documentation of all events and outreach activities for maximum engagement.
