A regional construction contractor in the East Midlands is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to oversee financial aspects of various construction projects. This role involves working on projects valued between £3m and £8m, engaging with clients and site teams to ensure successful delivery. The ideal candidate will have strong financial acumen and a collaborative mindset to navigate client relationships and project demands. Competitive salary range of £60k - £70k plus benefits is offered.

My client is an East Midlands based independent construction contractor with longstanding customer relationships stretching back over two decades. These projects consist of New Builds and Refurbishments, primarily in the residential and commercial sectors, carried out on a Design & Build basis.
As a Quantity Surveyor initially you will be working on a variety of projects valued from approximately £3m to £8m, based in the East Midlands, Yorkshire and North West regions. You will be responsible for all the financial aspects of the project, working on the pre-con phase of tenders and then take the project through to site delivery. You will work closely with the MQS and Commercial Manager as well as the client and site team, sometimes autonomously. Your active knowledge sharing, and quick resolution of issues will go a long way in the successful running of this project.
