Summary

The National Trust is renowned for its food and hospitality. We run 185 cafés, tea‑rooms and restaurants all over England, Wales and Northern Ireland, and we'd love you to join us.

We’re looking for a Food and Beverage Team Member. In this role, you’ll be making a real difference to the work of the National Trust, as well as helping to give people a memorable day out.

Contract details
  • Zero‑hour contract – no guaranteed set hours each week, but flexible pattern.
  • Fixed‑term until 6 September 2026.
  • Hours: any time between 9:00 am and 5:30 pm, weekdays, weekends and bank holidays; no evening or split shifts.
  • Salary: £12.25 per hour.
  • Online assessment required – complete the online assessment instead of a CV or application form.
What you’ll be doing
  • Front‑of‑house service – welcome guests, serve food and drink, provide outstanding service.
  • Keep food and drink standards high – prepare, plate and plate presentation.
  • Maintain displays and signage – ensure accuracy and a tidy appearance.
  • Support kitchen team – help prepare food when required.
  • Induction, training in allergens and food safety, mentoring and opportunities for further training.
