About the company

Our client is a multi-award-winning construction business delivering high-end residential new builds, refurbishments, and extensions across Hertfordshire, London, and the Home Counties. Known for exceptional craftsmanship, attention to detail, and collaborative working, they deliver bespoke homes of the highest quality.

The role

As Quantity Surveyor, you’ll:

  • Manage the full commercial lifecycle of residential projects from tender to final account
  • Oversee budgets, cash flow, cost control, and financial reporting
  • Liaise closely with Project Managers, design teams, clients, and subcontractors
  • Be a client-facing lead, attending meetings and presenting cost updates
  • Handle procurement, contracts (JCT), valuations, and variations
  • Ensure financial targets are met and commercial risks are managed
  • Help refine internal commercial systems and processes as the business grows
You’ll bring:
  • Experience as a Quantity Surveyor within high-end residential or refurbishment projects
  • Proven experience running your own jobs and managing finances independently
  • Strong cost management and reporting skills
  • Confident communication and client liaison ability
  • Good working knowledge of JCT contracts
