Quantity Surveyor Central London – Prime Resi
Responsibilities
  • Work closely with project managers, the technical team, and contractors to ensure cost‑effective planning and execution of residential developments.
  • Cost estimation, budgeting, and financial management to drive project success.
  • Support with pre‑construction tender documents and procurement responsibilities such as tender meetings and analysis for selection of contractors.
  • Conduct analysis of project specifications, materials, and labour costs to provide accurate forecasts and reports.
  • Create contractor‑specific contracts along with the appropriate supporting documentation.
  • Manage the progression of subcontract packages from first valuation to the final account.
  • Review all valuations and variations submitted.
  • Manage budgets across all packages.
  • Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to secure competitive pricing and maintain strong relationships.
  • Monitor project progress, identifying potential cost overruns and implementing proactive solutions.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor ideally with a main contractor.
  • Strong knowledge of construction materials, processes, and regulations.
  • Proficiency in relevant software tools, including Excel, cost estimating software, and project management systems.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
  • A results‑driven mindset with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
