Working as the Business Development Manager / Sales Manager you will play a pivotal role in driving the growth and success of the company. This position requires a proactive and strategic individual with a strong commercial acumen who can identify new business opportunities, develop and implement effective strategies, and foster strong client relationships.

As the Business Development Manager / Sales Manager you will work closely with the CEO to achieve the company's objectives, particularly sustainable growth and service excellence.

Duties

Your duties as the Business Development Manager / Sales Manager include:

  • Business Development:
    • Work closely with the CEO to identify, explore, and pursue new business opportunities to expand the company's client base and market presence
    • Manage the tendering process for new work, including bid preparation, proposal development, and contract negotiation
    • Develop and maintain a strong understanding of market trends, competitor activities, and potential growth areas
  • Strategy and Marketing:
    • Develop and implement innovative business development and marketing strategies to achieve revenue targets and enhance brand visibility
    • Utilise HubSpot to manage marketing campaigns, track performance, and optimise results
    • Assist in creating marketing materials and campaigns, ensuring consistent brand messaging and effective communication of our services and values
  • Operational Efficiency and Service Delivery:
    • Optimise operational efficiency to ensure the seamless delivery of exceptional cleaning services to our clients
    • Monitor service quality, identify areas for improvement, and implement solutions to enhance client satisfaction and retention
    • Collaborate with operations teams to ensure effective resource allocation, process optimisation, and adherence to quality standards
  • Client Relationship Management:
    • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key clients and partners, acting as a trusted advisor and meeting their needs
    • Proactively identify opportunities to expand services with existing clients and develop new partnerships
    • Address client inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally, ensuring the highest levels of customer service
  • Sustainability Champion:
    • Champion our commitment to environmental responsibility, promoting internal and external sustainable practices
    • Ensure that all business development and operational activities align with our B Corp values and environmental objectives
Qualifications
  • Proven experience in a Business Development Role in the cleaning industry in the UK
  • Strong track record of achieving sales targets, winning new business, and managing client relationships
  • Experience in tendering for new work, including bid preparation and contract negotiation
  • Proficiency in using HubSpot or similar CRM and marketing automation tools
