A client company in need of an Accounting Manager in York Region is seeking an experienced professional to oversee their accounting team and ensure compliance with accounting standards. The ideal candidate will have significant corporate accounting experience, be a CPA, and possess strong team management skills. This role offers a competitive salary of $110,000 - $130,000 per year and opportunities for growth within the organization.

Formación

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or lead capacity.
• Strong Corporate Accounting experience.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare, review and/or approve journal entries for compliance with ASPE and GAAP.
• Support and coordinate the month-end and year-end processes to ensure deadlines are met.
• Provide guidance and oversight to a team of accountants.
• Manage and supervise the accounting team for accuracy and compliance.
• Ensure balance sheet reconciliations are completed monthly.
• Collaborate to gather and analyze financial data.
• Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes.
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations.
• Serve as the primary contact for external auditors.
• Contribute to developing accounting policies and procedures.
