A leading shipbuilding company in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, is seeking an Instrumentation Production Supervisor to lead a team in the calibration and commissioning of systems for naval vessels. The ideal candidate has 5+ years' experience in shipbuilding and excellent problem-solving skills. The role focuses on safety and efficiency, offering opportunities for career development and impactful work in the construction of Canada's Navy.
The Instrumentation Production Supervisor is responsible to supervise, lead and support trades team members on a daily basis while reporting to the Test & Trials Manager. The Instrumentation Production Supervisor is expected to work closely and co-ordinate with other Test & Trial Supervisors, other company departments as well as our Customer and Lloyd's inspectors.
The Instrumentation Production Supervisor maintains calibrations and documents industrial measuring and controlling instrumentation on new ships being built and throughout the shipyard.
The Instrumentation Production Supervisor is expected to engage in a hands-on, proactive manner to identify any design issues and to troubleshoot complex technical issues before they could impact the trials program all while holding each team member accountable for their performance.
All successful applicants must meet requirements for Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP), Canadian Government Security clearance, and U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). What you can expect when you join us:
