We are on the lookout for a Transportation Team Lead in Ottawa who shares our passion for being customer obsessed. In this dynamic role, you will play a crucial part in overseeing daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficient and effective receipt, storage, and dispatch of a wide range of goods. This role involves leading a team of warehouse associates, coordinating activities, and maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and productivity. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a background in logistics or warehouse management, and the ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment.

Part Time Saturday & Sunday 7am to 3:30pm.

Must have driver's license and own vehicle.

• Staging and sorting of items, palletizing, and crating.
• Provide regular reports on transportation performance and key metrics (SLAs) to the operations leadership.
• Use of tools including but not limited to scanners, carts, hand trucks and dollies.
• Daily submission and completion of all required documentation in an accurate fashion.
• Follow all 5S processes consistently and effectively.
• Create an inspiring team environment with an open communication culture.
• Train new employees on company standards and procedures.
• Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of warehouse associates.
• Assign tasks and responsibilities, ensuring efficient workflow and productivity.
• Conduct regular team meetings to communicate goals, updates, and feedback.
• Implement and maintain warehouse processes and procedures to maximize efficiency.
• Enforce safety standards and protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
• Address and resolve any issues related to damaged or missing goods.
• Liaise with other departments, such as procurement, account management, and customer service, to coordinate activities and resolve issues.
• Communicate effectively with team members, management, and external partners.
• Travel to other facilities required on a semi‑regular basis.

• High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, or related field preferred.
• Proven experience in a warehouse or logistics role, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or team lead position.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent organizational and time‑management abilities.
• Proficient in warehouse management software and the Google Suite.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in warehouse operations.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced and dynamic environment.

• Must have driver's license and own vehicle.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy items (up to 50 lbs).
• Prolonged periods of standing and walking.
