Administered through the University of Toronto’s Centre for Industrial Relations & Human Resources (CIRHR), this project aims to build employer capacity for barrier‑free, disability‑inclusive workplaces, particularly in the construction and manufacturing sectors. It prioritizes support for youth with disabilities (specifically those with neurodivergence, intellectual disabilities, or mental health challenges) through systems‑level innovations, cross‑sector collaboration, and the development of scalable tools, platforms, and frameworks. Under the general guidance of the Project Manager, the Special Events Coordinator & Content Writer plays a key role in supporting the YESS initiatives. This position is responsible for planning and executing special events and outreach initiatives, including conceptualizing event themes, managing logistics, liaising with vendors and stakeholders, and promoting programs to target audiences. The incumbent also develops and manages strategic communications by creating original content, writing news and feature stories, and producing marketing materials across print, web, and social media platforms. Additional responsibilities include maintaining event calendars, coordinating website updates, implementing social media campaigns, and ensuring alignment with branding and communication objectives.
