Job summary
A leading agricultural equipment company in Canada is seeking a Territory Manager for their Lawn & Garden division. This role involves selling John Deere compact tractors and turf equipment, developing marketing strategies, and maintaining documentation. Candidates should have sales experience, be self-motivated, and possess strong communication skills. A valid passport and a recent driver’s abstract are necessary for this position.
Qualifications
- Sales industry experience or knowledge of agriculture equipment is an asset.
- Must have a valid passport and be able to travel internationally.
- A recent driver’s abstract will be required.
Responsibilities
- Sell new and used whole goods products in the sales territory.
- Complete all sales documentation accurately.
- Keep up to date on product knowledge and customer needs.
- Develop marketing strategies for the territory.
Skills
Our Rocky View Agriculture branch is looking for an exceptional individual to join our sales department as a Territory Manager - Lawn & Garden for our Agriculture Division (John Deere). This position specializes in the sale of John Deere compact tractor, turf and sport lines.
- Sell new and used whole goods product within the designated sales territory
- Complete all sales documentation in a timely and accurate manner
- Keep current on product knowledge and equipment
- Keep current on customers’ business activities and needs
- Develop marketing and promotion strategies for territory
- Prepare customer status reports, including but not limited to sales call activity, closing, follow –up, and prospect reports as required
- Strong customer service skills
- Highly motivated and self-directed
- Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills
- Ability to build relationships and prospect new accounts
- Sales industry experience and / or a comprehensive knowledge of agriculture equipment considered an asset
- Must be able to obtain or have a valid passport, and be able to travel internationally
- A recent driver’s abstract will be required
- Strong customer service skills
- Highly motivated and self-directed
- Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills
- Ability to build relationships and prospect new accounts
