Qualifications

  • At least two years’ experience in the Social Services field.
  • General knowledge of the Canadian Justice System, and legislation relevant to Corrections and Conditional Release.
  • Experience working in the Social Services field.

Responsibilities

  • Assist residents with their re‑integration into the community.
  • Connect with community-based agencies to expand the resource network.
  • Facilitate bi‑weekly or monthly job search group programs as needed.

Skills

Tolerance and compassion for individuals of diverse social and cultural backgrounds
Ability to understand the dynamics of residents’ behaviour and assess their needs and risks
Computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Email and Internet

Education

Recognized University degree or Community College diploma in the Social Sciences
