A community support organization in Victoria is seeking a Senior Cook to prepare nutritious meals in a modern kitchen. The ideal candidate has at least three years of relevant experience, completed Grade 12, and a recognized cooking program. This casual position offers an hourly wage of $27.54 to $31.61 and includes benefits in lieu of vacation and holidays.

The Senior Cook works as part of a collaborative and dynamic team in a new, modern, well-equipped commercial kitchen in order to prepare daily nutritious meals while maintaining a high standard of cleanliness in eating and prep areas.
Minimum of Three (3) years' related experience.
Equivalent combination of education training and experience will also be considered.
Completed Grade 12 along with a recognized twelve (12) month program in cooking.
- Food Safe Level 1 and Level 2.
- Ministry of Public Safety and Solicitor General Criminal Record Check.
- Hourly Wage Rate: $27.54 – $31.61.
- Days of Work: Varied, per program needs.
- Shift Time: Varied, per program needs.
- Total Weekly Hours: Varied, per program needs.
- Union: BCGEU.
- Work Location: Various.
- Benefits: 10.6% on top of gross earnings in lieu of vacation and statutory holidays.
- Job Type: Casual.
Candidate upon hire may be eligible to transfer the hours worked with other Community Social Services Agencies under the Retention and Portability memorandum. Some restrictions may apply.
