As a Software Development Engineer II, you’ll be a key part of Amazon’s core services team. You’ll contribute to building new features, delivering seamless user experiences, and improving key systems that support Acquisitions, Servicing, and Financial Offers across the world.

The Amazon Payment Products Tech (APP Tech) team supports services such as Digital Payments, Installments, and B2B Payments. As part of this agile and innovative team, you’ll help design and build high-volume, distributed systems that drive real business results. Working on the APP Core Services team, you’ll take ownership of software across its entire lifecycle. This includes inventing new features, following lightweight Service-Oriented Architecture patterns, and working with native AWS technologies. Developers are expected to think big and contribute to Amazon’s commitment to customer experience and engineering excellence.

To succeed in this role, you must meet the following qualifications:

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 2+ years of system design or architecture experience
• Proficiency in at least one programming language
• Experience with coding standards, reviews, source control, and operations
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent preferred
