We are currently hiring a Senior Financial Analyst, FP&A based in our Head Office location in Burnaby.

As a Senior Financial Analyst, FP&A you'll play a pivotal role in leading a team of analysts in business partnering with operational Directors/Executives across BCAA. Leading these teams, you'll prepare annual budgets, monthly forecasts, long range plans, special projects and scenario analysis, and presenting conclusions and recommendations to management teams.

Who you are:
  • You're an analytical problem solver. You love a challenge and are always eager to hop in to find solutions.
  • You embrace technology and continuous improvements to business processes to achieve great results.
  • You're extremely organized and take pride in the quality of your work.

  • You have the initiative and drive to see the big picture to help shape BCAA's business and financial growth.
  • You can develop strong business relationships with all divisions and staff levels, including Executive leadership.
  • You can present and communicate financial information so it's understood by anyone at any level in the organization.
  • You are an excellent team player and enjoy working collaboratively with finance and non-finance team members.
What you'll do:
  • Leading a team of analysts in monthly forecasting processes (P&L, Cash Flow, Other Operational Metrics), leveraging financial planning software (Workday Adaptive Planning), and business partnering with Directors/Executives in operational areas across BCAA (Insurance, Evo Car Share, Evolve E-Bike Share, and Roadside Assistance).
  • Analyze monthly data and assist in production of commentary to the Executive team, which includes identifying key risks and opportunities for the business, budget to actual variance commentary, and recommendations on forecasted performance for products and business units.
  • Supports with board of director and executive reporting.
  • Review and build capital expenditure project proposals.
  • Develop and manage analytical tools and processes to improve the quality and transparency of financial results and forecasts.
  • Knowledge of Power BI and Workday Adaptive Planning to support business area tracking and reporting of operational data and key performance indicators.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and strong abilities to work and build relationships with a diverse group, at all levels of the organization.
  • Present analysis, conclusions, and recommendations via presentations and in written form.
What you bring:
  • Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Business, or Economics, or equivalent with emphasis on quantitative analysis and methods.
  • 5+ years of experience in financial analysis and reporting in a complex and changing environment.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft 365 software (Excel). Knowledge of Workday Adaptive Planning and Power BI an asset.
  • CPA or CFA designation (or equivalent education/professional accounting designation MBA, CA, CGA, or CMA).
