As part of the Office of the Chief Administrative Officer, the Corporate Services (CS) team plays a critical role in supporting the entire organization. Comprised of Corporate Communications & Stakeholder Relations, Corporate Policy, Corporate Privacy & Information, Sourcing and Vendor Performance, Strategy & Business Transformation, Social Impact & Environmental Sustainability and Enterprise Project Management Office, CS is driven by customer-service and taking action to advise, consult and support each business area throughout the LDB.
The CS team is comprised of approximately 70 staff. What brings CS together as a team is the ability to work together to support both the operational areas of the business and other corporate service areas (e.g., Corporate Operations, Finance, Human Resources, Information Technology). The group has a strategic lens with a focus on ensuring the organization aligns and complies with corporate priorities, policies, legislation, best practices, and government mandate.

The mandate of the Social Impact and Environmental Sustainability team is to implement and manage an enterprise-wide corporate impact strategy and roadmap for the LDB, demonstrating the organization's commitment to achieving profit with purpose.
The Senior Manager, Environmental Sustainability is responsible for designing programs, leading program implementation, and establishing methods to measure the effectiveness of programs, in alignment with the strategic vision and goals of the Social Impact and Environmental Sustainability division. This involves leading the execution of the LDB's environmental sustainability initiatives that align with the broader strategy, overseeing the reporting on our climate change accountability commitments, and executing government-mandated projects in support of the Clean BC roadmap. This role also provides oversight to our social impact portfolio, ensuring it aligns with our corporate impact platform and achieves the division's objectives.
Special requirements and working conditions include the ability to work flexible hours such as evenings and weekends to attend events, and the ability to travel overnight internationally and occasionally within BC and Canada. A successful completion of a criminal record check is required.

Position requirements:Education and Experience:Degree or diploma in social impact, business administration, environmental management, environmental sciences, social sciences, communications or related discipline and a minimum five (5) years of recent, related work experience*.
*Recent, related work experience must have occurred within the last eight (8) years and must include:
- Experience in corporate social responsibility, environmental sustainability, and social impact/purpose.
- Experience developing, managing and directing environmental programs, preferably for a large-scale organization (large organization is defined as an organization with an employee base of 300 or more and with multiple lines of business).
- Experience with the design, development, implementation and management, including performance measurement, of enterprise-wide social impact/purpose and environmental sustainability strategies and related campaigns.
- Experience with creation of the marketing and communications strategy, key messaging and materials of environmental and social impact programs, both to internal and external audiences.
Preference may be given to candidates with any of the following:
- Certificate in corporate social responsibility, environmental sustainability/management or project management.
- Experience leading, supporting and developing direct reports.
- Experience working within a regulated industry and engaging with senior government partners.
- Experience in the development and continuous improvement of environmental management programs (e.g., Sustainability, TQEM, ISO 14001 etc.).
- Experience with project management and executing fundraising and engagement campaigns.
- Experience working in strategy and planning as a leader, advisor, or analyst.
- Experience providing direction, reviewing and approving policies for regulatory purposes and to ensure alignment operationally and meeting provincial regulatory requirements.
