Expected Salary $55,346 to $83,019.

In this role, you will:

  • Coordinate workload planning in the day‑to‑day operation of warehouse repair and overhaul activities in support of VISSC;
    • This includes, but is not limited to; shipping, receiving, inventory management, processing material returns; investigating equipment prices and availability, input and maintenance of applicable material management systems.
  • Assist the Warehouse Manager with the development of colleague’s skills and competencies.
  • Identify and contribute to the implementation of continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Report generation in Babcock’s inventory/enterprise control systems system to provide metrics for repair and overhaul activities.
  • Assist the Warehouse Manager with the development/maintenance of all Repair and Overhaul processes and work instructions.
  • Participate with both internal and external audits.
  • Engage contractors and sub‑contractors to address daily operational needs.
  • Responsible for upholding all occupational Health and Safety standards within the warehouse.
  • Participate as a member of either the JHSC or ERT teams.
  • Any other roles as deemed necessary and reasonable to support the business.

The ideal candidate brings:

  • You hold a minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
  • You hold a Supply Chain/logistics certification (considered an asset).
  • You have experience (5+ years) in a warehouse environment in a similar role.
  • You are proficient in Microsoft Office programs, specifically Outlook, Excel, and Word.
  • You have excellent organizational and time management skills; great attention to detail and accuracy.
  • You have experience in the following areas:
    • Methods and practices used to receive, store, issue, transport, and distribute material.
    • Warehousing, stock control, and inventory management.
    • Control of Documentation.
    • Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems (such as IFS).
    • Department of National Defence (DND) supply chain processes and Defence Resource Management Information System (DRMIS) (strong asset).
    • Operation of MHE, such as pallet jacks, forklifts, etc. (An asset – additional training will be provided).
    • Workplace Hazardous Management Information Systems (WHMIS) (an asset – annual training is provided).
    • You have knowledge of material management for major equipment and systems.
    • You demonstrate knowledge in material management ERP systems, procedures and control of documentation.
  • You must be flexible for work hours; the successful individual may be required to work early mornings, late afternoons, and on‑call weekends.
  • You are eligible for a Canadian Secret Security and ITAR Clearance.
