What you’ll do

As a Sales Representative, you will play a key role working daily to build relationships with customers and to deliver Messer's superior standards of customer service, including:

  • Identify and attract new customers while maintaining good relationships with existing customers in order to increase sales and exceed customer expectations
  • Earn, retain and grow customer accounts in order to contribute to the achievement of sales, service and profitability objectives in a specific sales territory
  • Support and develop sales strategies
  • Work in collaboration with specialists / technical representatives, branches and support functions in order to achieve the objectives
  • Contribute to overall region performance as a member of the regional sales and branch team
What it takes
  • College or University Degree or equivalent experience
  • 2 years or more of experience in sales, preferably in an industrial environment
  • Strong organizational, planning, decision making and problem solving skills
  • High level of computer knowledge with the Microsoft Office suite
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
Assets to have
  • Knowledge of the gas and/or welding industry
  • Certification in welding or similar trade
  • Knowledge of SAP software
