Job Title : Intermediate Accountant

Position Summary :

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Intermediate Accountant to join our finance team. This role is ideal for a finance professional who thrives in a fast-paced, evolving environment and has a solid understanding of accounting principles. The successful candidate will be responsible for full-cycle accounting, supporting month-end close processes, preparing financial reports, and collaborating with internal stakeholders across our portfolio companies.

Key Responsibilities :

• Perform full-cycle accounting, including journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, and month-end closing tasks
• Prepare accurate and timely financial statements and management reports
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis across MHC and portfolio companies
• Reconcile intercompany transactions and ensure compliance with internal controls
• Support audits by preparing required schedules and documentation
• Collaborate with operational teams to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data
• Assist with the integration of accounting systems for newly acquired companies
• Maintain and improve accounting processes, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and corporate policies

Qualifications :

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field
• CPA designation (or working towards it) is preferred
• 3–5 years of accounting experience, ideally within a multi-entity or investment firm environment
• Solid understanding of ASPE, GAAP or IFRS
• Strong Excel skills; experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, Dynamic 365 Business Central)
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
