A provincial government department in Nova Scotia is seeking an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) to perform inspections and repairs on the helicopter fleet. The role requires an AME License, a valid driver's license, and readiness to respond to emergencies on short notice. Aviation Services is a division of the Department of Natural Resources responsible for providing helicopter support for all provincial government departments and agencies.
Under the general supervision of the Chief Aircraft Maintenance Engineer, carries out daily routine inspections, planned periodic inspections and repairs as well as field repairs to the Province's helicopter fleet in accordance with the Canadian Aviation Regulations (CAR's), recommended practices and procedures established by aircraft manufacturers, power plant manufacturers and Transport Canada.
