Lumentum is seeking a Director of Product Line Management (PLM) to lead our Wavelength Selective Switch (WSS) product line within the Transport Business Unit. This is a high-impact role that blends strategic vision with operational execution—driving roadmap definition, business growth, and market leadership in “Scale-Across” datacenter connectivity and Metro/Long Haul telecom systems.
As the business owner for the industry‑leading WSS portfolio, you will shape product and technology strategy, deliver profitable growth, and ensure that Lumentum’s optical solutions remain indispensable to global network evolution. You’ll partner closely with R&D, Operations, Sales, and senior BU leadership to deliver differentiated products, operational excellence, and lasting customer value.
This leadership role spans full product lifecycle ownership—from concept and business justification through end of life—with accountability for business performance, roadmap direction, and execution.
Degree in Engineering, Physics, Optics, or Semiconductors—or a business degree with strong technical grounding. MBA or advanced technical degree desirable.
The ideal candidate will bring a deep industry perspective, grounded in experience with leading hyperscale and carrier optical line system architectures. This insight will be instrumental in guiding Lumentum’s product strategy and ensuring our WSS portfolio remains closely aligned with the needs of these fast‑evolving and mission‑critical applications.
