WSP is currently seeking a Junior Design Technician, Food Services & Hospitality to join our Food Service team in our Ottawa, ON office. This position would be responsible for modeling, drafting, design and site review of food service projects in the public and private sector.

A day in the life:
- Operate AutoCAD and/or Revit to prepare engineering drawings.
- Assist with the design of food service equipment layouts.
- Coordinate with the project team, external vendors, engineers and architects.
- Execute directions as provided by senior leaders and management.
- Gather appropriate resources in order to assist in problem solving.
- Occasional local travel will be required depending on project-specific requirements.
- Other duties as assigned/required.
We'd love to hear from you if you have...
- Interior Design, Architectural of Engineering Technology diploma.
- 1 to 4 years of related experience
- Knowledge of Revit and AutoCAD, including ability to place, create, and modify Revit families and parameters.
- Competent interpersonal and communication skills
- Proficient self-leadership with attention to detail, multi-tasking, and prioritization of responsibilities in a dynamic work environment.
- Ability to work independently under general supervision, as well as part of a team to meet business objectives.
- Basic proficiency with technical writing, office automation, software, spreadsheets, technology, and tools.
- A familiarity with hospitality operations and working knowledge of a commercial kitchen as well as commercial laundry facilities is an asset.
- French language proficiency is an asset.
- To qualify for this role, you must be eligible for Canadian Federal Government Enhanced Reliability clearance. This is a mandatory requirement to work with this client.
