As a Senior Engineering Manager for our team, you will directly manage multiple frontend product engineering pods (tentatively 8-10 engineers). As a people manager, you will hire, mentor, provide feedback, motivate, grow, and in general enable success in each engineer. As the engineering leader of the pods, you will conduct technical and product deep dives, strategic planning, set and communicate visions, and ultimately tie your success to the outcome of the Pod deliverables.

This position is a people manager role reporting to the Senior Director, Engineering.
Responsibility
Build high-quality, user-focused eCommerce experiences with React/Node
Lead a team of engineers at various stages of their career, actively investing in their growth and development
Set team strategy and be accountable for team plans and deliverables
Juggle between multiple priority projects and tasks and be creative to find solutions that are both high quality and cost effective
Set high bar for engineering process and architecture
Deliver products that delight customers while managing the health of the code base through continuous refactoring and management of technical debt
Be an expert at agile continuous delivery, DevOps and TDD/BDD and will champion the culture, processes, and tools required to maintain a frictionless high quality development environment
Provide coaching and leadership in software best practices, automated test strategies, and work toward flattening the cost of change curve for our software products and services
Build high performing, secure applications and building security into the DNA of products
Obsess over great user experiences and will be a partner to product management, engineering, sales, operations, and other parts of the business
Cultivate an open, collaborative, and fun work environment for yourself and your team
Work closely with product, design, security, customer success and other teams to provide technical expertise throughout all phases of product development
Hybrid: Employee divides their time between in-office and remote work. Access to an office location is required. (Frequency: Minimum 2 days per week; may vary by team but will be weekly in-office expectation)
