We seek someone who wants to make that difference in our pediatrics department as a Pediatric CMA, LPN, or Registered Nurse.

Job Responsibilities:

1. This medical assistant or nursing professional assists the Care Team in the delivery of primary health care services and patient management in a fast-paced pediatric office setting.
2. Ensure safe and appropriate assessment skills, routine screening, and provide educational instruction on disease management.
3. Conduct initial patient assessments, help with patient medical needs, and coordinate with local hospitals for referrals, labs, radiographs, etc.
4. Check patient vitals, prepare and administer injections (vaccines and medications), and use the electronic medical record (EMR) to document progress notes.
5. Chart and prep the patients, understand what vaccines to give, and room a peds patient quickly and efficiently.
6. Anticipate needs (physical forms, shot records, lab slips) and provide exceptional care to children.

Minimum Requirements:

1. Must be a Certified Medical Assistant, Licensed or Registered Nurse licensed in the state of Iowa.
2. Minimum of 1 year practicing as a CMA, LPN, or RN.
3. One year of experience in a pediatric medical office setting.
4. Basic computer, data entry, and EMR skills.

Pre-employment physical, TB test, drug screen, and credentialing required.
