A leading technology firm in Vancouver is seeking a Staff SRE/DevOps Engineer to lead cloud rearchitecture efforts, ensuring high availability and peak performance. The ideal candidate will have over 8 years of experience in DevOps and cloud solutions, including expertise in AWS and GCP. Responsibilities include designing resilient multi-region architectures, coaching teams on DevOps best practices, and shaping the DevOps roadmap. This role offers competitive compensation of $160,000 to $200,000 annually, along with generous benefits.

- 8+ years in DevOps/cloud infrastructure including 3+ in senior role.
- Proven hands-on experience with AWS and GCP.
- Deep expertise with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, and TLS.
- Ability to architect and scale distributed systems.
Responsibilities
- Assess DevOps infrastructure and coach teams on best practices.
- Design multi-region traffic management and robust disaster recovery.
- Support transition to microservices and drive automation.
- Define best practices for CI/CD and observability.
- Provide guidance on cloud-native development and GCP services.
- Shape the DevOps roadmap and implement advanced traffic management.
- Embed security best practices and align with industry standards.
