Design System Designer (6 month contract) at Rakuten Kobo Inc.

• Design, build, and maintain accessible Figma components for our design system.


• Collaborate with engineers on component implementation and documentation, including accessibility guidelines.


• Ensure component consistency and usability.


• Maintain component version control.

• 3+ years of UI design experience with a strong focus on design systems and accessibility.


• Proficiency in Figma


• Understanding of accessibility best practices (WCAG).


• Experience working with engineers.


• Portfolio showcasing design system work and demonstrating accessibility considerations.

• Experience with Storybook or similar design system tooling.
