As we continue to grow, we are looking for a Senior FP&A Analyst to join our team.
About The Role
The Senior FP&A Analyst plays a critical role in providing financial insights and analysis to support business decision-making. This role involves analyzing financial data, preparing reports, and providing recommendations based on financial performance. The Analyst will work closely with various departments to ensure accurate financial reporting and assist in budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Location: 8270 Mayrand Street, Montreal, QC
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week, 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
- Work Mode: Hybrid
What You Will Do
- Develop weekly, monthly and quarterly financial analyses at all levels of the P&L (revenues, direct costs, indirect costs) in comparison with budget and previous periods/years.
- Analyze the profitability and accurateness of the various revenue streams, while ensuring that data is maintained, updated and cross-checked for internal performance metrics.
- Perform ad hoc analyses and reports related to business needs and requirements.
- Participate in the entire budget process, including communications with the various departments.
- Prepare various corporate reports relating to financial projections, treasury and strategic financial planning.
- Develop and maintain powerful analysis and reporting tools using business intelligence software.
- Be actively involved in the development of departmental and corporate processes.
- Support all departments and business partners in understanding financial data.
- Prepare documentation for various claims related to tax credits and government incentives.
- Prepare analyses to optimize the amount claimed.
- Maintain up-to-date documentation on tax credits and other incentives. Train new employees and managers.
What We Are Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in business administration or accounting sciences.
- CPA accounting designation or CPA candidate, CFA designation or in progress (asset).
- Minimum 4 years' experience in a similar position.
- Proficiency in all accounting cycles and period-end processes.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Suite software, Power BI, Power Query (an asset) and Sage Intacct (an asset).
- Proficiency in financial software and tools (e.g., MS Suite).
- Excellent communication, analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills are essential.
- Mastery of a digital work environment.
- Ability to integrate and conceptualize the causes and effects of accounting decisions and their accounting, including tax, operational and organizational impacts.
- Professional curiosity and autonomy are desirable qualities.
- High level of integrity and ethical standards.
- Strong business acumen and understanding of financial principles.
- Fluency in French and English.
- Experience in the Managed Service Provider (MSP) industry is an asset.
