FYidoctors Kilborn-Ottawa is seeking a Clinic Team Lead for a full-time position.

The Team Lead, Clinic plays a key role in supporting doctors, team members, and business leaders in delivering exceptional patient care and operational excellence. This position is responsible for overseeing both dispensary and front desk operations, ensuring a seamless patient experience while upholding FYi’s goals and standards.

This team member will work a schedule of 40 hours per week. Our clinic is open Mondays through Friday.

What Will You Be Doing
  • Leading, coaching, and training team members to ensure proficiency in dispensary, patient service, and front desk operations
  • Managing clinic operations to achieve excellence in patient care, customer service, sales goals, quality, and efficiency
  • Supporting scheduling, fireside chats, and administrative tasks as assigned by the Practice Coach
  • Performing cross-trained responsibilities of the Patient Services Specialist, Medical Associate, and Optical Associate to support daily operations
  • Acting as a resource for staff, fostering a collaborative, high-performing, and patient-focused environment
  • Overseeing patient flow and provide support to Optometrists to ensure seamless clinic operations
  • Mentoring and evaluating team members, adapting leadership style to inspire excellence, develop skills, and drive results
  • Fostering teamwork, open communication, and a culture of accountability and service
  • Collaborating with the Practice Coach and Regional Coaches to implement initiatives, improve procedures, and uphold FYi brand standards
  • Identifying opportunities for practice development and operational improvements, ensuring the delivery of world-class patient care.
What Do You Bring
  • Two to four years of management or supervisory experience
  • Previous experience in customer service and retail preferred
  • College degree or equivalent experience
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to coach, motivate, and inspire team members
  • A proven track record of delivering results through people
  • General PC knowledge including Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook)
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills; ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate effectively
  • Knowledge of optical theory and merchandise considered an asset
  • Commitment to maintaining service and quality initiatives
