We are actively looking for a Junior Level Mechanical Engineer to join our Sao Paulo office. As part of the MEI Group, the Junior Mechanical Engineer will assist in engineering work involving design, construction, and execution of mechanical projects. Assists during the inspection and research to insure adherence to law and the standards of good engineering practices.

• Perform design of maritime related mechanical engineering projects
• Work related to equipment / materials specification, calculation, data sheets, drawings reviews, and material handling equipment construction / configuration.
• Assist with design of waterfront facilities such as marinas, container terminals, marine oil terminals, and pump stations (sewer and storm water)
• Assist with condition assessment inspections for oil & gas and utility infrastructure

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering; required
• 1+ years of experience in Mechanical Engineering design; required
• Professional licensure; preferred
• Experience in design with AutoCAD; required
• Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation)
• Availability and willingness to travel
• Bi-lingual / multi-lingual desired
• All new hires will be required to successfully complete and pass a pre-employment (post offer) background check in compliance with NIST 800-171

General office setting

Ability to use standard office equipment. Sits for a prolonged period of time. Travel may be required.
